Well after months & months & months & months of deliberation I finally bought my first ever SLR yesterday...

A fine Nikon D40 kit with an extra 55-200mm Lens :D:D

Just need to read the manual & then get stuck in :)
Cant wait to start learning all the bits & pieces :D

Oh just one thing can anyone recommend me a good SD card for it??

I've been thinking about getting something like Sandisk 2GB Ultra II/Extreme III or the Kingston 2GB 50X Elite Pro

Anyway just thought I'd share :D:D

    Congratulations on the new purchase!

Believe me, you'll have a whale of a time learning and experimenting... I've just taken my first steps into motorsport photography and you never stop learning!

Enjoy and take as many photographs as you can... oh, and expect to have no spare cash once the addiction takes hold! ;)

    Very nice!
I got the Sandisk Extreme III from play.com for around £15 if i remember. Let me know how you find the 55-200, as I've only got the kit lens at the mo.
