I wanted to put my TV above the fireplace, but didn't want to sprain my neck...so...the mantle height had to come down.

Next, the AV installers came in for the first fix yesterday. They covered the mantle with a cling film!! Neat idea...

They then ran the cable under the carpet across the master bedroom, & drilled another hole on the other end to feed it back to the lounge, for the rear left speaker.

The furniture is being installed today. Will upload the pics when done.

Once that's done, TV and other equipment will be installed on Monday.

Looking good mate! Out of interest, what sort of money is costing you for the pro install?

The install itself has costed me £390 for the first fix, and £240 for the 2nd fix (which will happen on Monday).

I'm paying a total of £6300 for KRP 500A, RX-V1900, R225HDs, R90HD, AW-12, Buttkicker, all the cables, TV mount and installation, which, I thought was reasonable.

The speaker cabinet covers have an acoustic cloth. All wiring sorted.

Also, in the 2nd image, you can see how the fitter has fixed the switch (white coloured) for the TV backlight, making it easily accessible.

There's a removable plate where the TV is being installed, to access the switch behind.
