I have had these speakers for about 18 months and whilst watching a rental copy of Traffic the right speaker was vibrating and distorting at some points in the film. I haven't noticed this before in films or music so I am wondering if it is poor recorded sound on the dvd or my speaker is playing up. I like to watch loud! and don't want to be distracted by vibrating noises. Any ideas?
System: Yamaha E800, Nad 370 and Yamaha SW90 sub.
Rears and Centre set to small, Mains set to large, Bass from amp directed to Both.
Ps I have checked bass drivers are tightened on speakers.

Does it do it on any other tapes or DVDs? Try swapping speaker leads over to see if the distortion moves across to the other speaker. it may be your amp.

When you say you play your stuff loud, do you ever get distortion? Playing distorted sound (cliiping) through a speaker can do more damage than over driving it, which was my next question..

Try playing at lower volumes to see if it sounds bad under 'normal' conditions. If the speaker is broken, it may still be under Missions warranty - many speakers have a five year guarentee IIRC.

No I have not heard it distort before, and the amps are powerful enough not to clip at the volumes I play, I'll try swopping the speaker though.
