Got a call at work today from my other half who had to report that my Marantz SR4300 amp had just gone pop and emitted some smoke !! I got her to unplug it immediatley and rang Super-fi in Leeds where i bought it this january. They will send it away to their service department to have a look. Id rather not be without an amp for any period of time , should I not just get it automatically replaced ? Im not sure i want this paticular one back even after its been patched up. Should I be pressing for an immediate swap-out for a new model when i take it in to the shop, or is that not within the terms of my warranty?
