My Loewe Vitros in Repair since End of June 2006

My Loewe Vitros has been in Repair since just before start of world cup in June 2006. It's the second time it's had a fault and been sent in for repair (last time was around June/July 2004). I got it from John Lewis and it had 5 year warranty on it. They have found the fault, but need to get parts. Unfortunately Loewe don't have the parts and they're searching for a third party and I'm still waiting (the repair people seem to have no idea of a timeframe). I don't see anyone's fault here, though my friends were saying that I should write to John Lewis about the fact that I've been without a good tv for a fair while and since it's the second time round.

Any thoughts.
 
Just checked and it was before 9th June 2006 that I sent it off.

Also my warranty expires in October 2006

Still no further news. I'm going to call the repair shop for an update.
 
Noone answered at repair shop after calling them yesterday, so I called John Lewis. One of the John Lewis people called me back to say they could not get through and would keep trying today as well. After that will call me back. So I'm waiting....
