Hi. . .what DVD player do you lot think I should consider (up to £1000) to feed my Pioneer 507XD. . .should I bother with upsampling? . .or let the plasma do it? . .I'm currently using a Pioneer DV717 connected with RGB scart cable (I dont care about aesthetics so another Pioneer unit isn't a priority). . .I'd like a player that buffers so I dont get a pause of video or break in audio at layer changes. . .it must be multi region and able to handle RCE R1 discs. . .This unit will be used to play CDs through Tag McLaren audio AV32R,Parasound Halo A51,Linn 5120 centre,5140(front and rear),5150 sub. . .so Arcam? . Denon? . Pioneer? . Primare? . Parasound? . . .or is there a blu ray player that will satisfy. . .over to you. . . . . . .

For about the £1000 bracket the Arcam DV135 and 137 would be top of my list.

Pleasantly surprised you still have a crt tv. Ive seen countless LCD and Plasmas and nothing has come close to my JVC Dist 32inch.
