Thanks guys, Just finished watching 'Grand Prix' on HD DVD.. Outstanding !! If anybodies got a HD DVD player and like F1 this must be on the top of your HD DVD wanted list.. Warner Bros have done a great job cleaning up this film

Sorry to butt in on your thread!! Just wondering about that DVD player... some one stated it's a HD DVD player.... I'm after one as I've just got a HD LCD..... is it really HD, and is it any good in your opinion?

    Thanks :D

    Great setup by the way!!

The Sony DAV-DZ111 is not a HD-DVD player, they are only made by Toshiba at the mo, it also does not upscale standard dvd's to 720p or 1080i and has no hdmi output:D

I think Weggy may well be talking about the HD-DVD add-on for the XBox 360 which is, indeed, an HD-DVD player!
Weggy, in order to use the Microsoft HD-DVD player, you will first need an Xbox 360 :smashin:

If you dont have a 360 though you will soon be able to use the 360 add on with your PC, once the software for this is released. I read this in this months Home Cinema Choice magazine. Of course this will only be possible if your PC can handle 1080p HD material. I was going to by an HD DVD player soon, but think i will give that a go now.

    Happy new year,

    Andy.

Spit, cough, splutter! Microshaft's Xbox will not be entering this house.... I'm STILL waiting to get my hands on a PS3....

Although at this rate, the 360 might be sneaking its way through our back door :rotfl:
