Thanks to a few people on here and over at cyrusunofficial, I am definitely getting there with this system.

    Good old British components:

    Cyrus CD6
    Cyrus aca7.5
    Cyrus PSXR

Quad 303 x 2 (and Jeremy has another one for me when I see him)

Kef Q1, Q9c, Q2DS all in dark apple, Q85S rear surrounds

Nad 2100 power amp on sub

    Other stuff:

    Sonix 26 inch LCD TV
    AV-Tools progressive scan scaler
    Harman Kardon DVD505-SE
    Harman Kardon AVR630
    JVC HR-7500S SVHS recorder
    Pace NTL box
12 inch sub in hunk of MDF

and of course my new Alphason rack which I have been waiting for to take pics

    Cables:

    LOTS!!!!

The next job is to take it all apart again and finally move out, then I'll be looking for some Q5s in dark apple or some nice silver XQ1s on matching stands.

    "JVC HR-7500S SVHS recorder" ???

That's a Panasonic ! Unless that's it over to the right of the PC ;)

How's the Sonix thing then, after a few weeks ?

    Mike.

Be nice to see the post-hoovering shots. It was the first thing my missus commented on. :D

Any way you can lift the screen up a bit ... the centre speaker seems to be covering part of the centre of the screen, which is a shame.

Does the JVC SVHS deck output standard VHS in "s-video" ?

Ooh, only just noticed the last comment on here, watch out for a major revamp due to house move in next couple of weeks, wall mounting the LCD, adding a pull down projector screen and a veritably antique projector, and of course I now have my big floorstanders - and an awesome sofa!!
Yeah, the svhs deck outputs vhs in s-video, quality pretty good on pre recorded material, I only really bought it so that I could cable s-video switching throughout!!!
