I just spent the last week re-arranging my room and finally finished everything. Most of the work went into handling all the cables and making sure not one single cable was showing (well apart from 1 or 2). Its surprising how much work goes into cable management. Those pesky cables have a mind of their own. :D I still have some work to do but the cables sticking out right now are driving me crazy.

I tried real hard to get my two subs into the corners of my room but it just didn't work out. They sound good enough where they are though. I had to buy cable extensions for the x-540 pc speakers because if anyone has these, you'll know just how pathetic the length of the cables are! Plus, they're rca!

Anyway, heres the pics. Its nothing hardcore but I think I've done good with the space I have and the budget that I am on. The playseat was bought along side the G25 wheel but now I just use the seat for watching movies/playing games. Its so comfy!

    Thanks.

Everyone says the monitor looks like its about to fall off the desk but that thing aint moving! It's pretty solid right there.

Mini fridge is something I've wanted but I don't want to get too comfortable. :D

btw, the monkey on the side of the wardrobe is a gift from my sister. Plus, its hiding a big mark.

Best speakers I've ever bought! Bought these back in 2002 and never felt the need to upgrade. Sound is crystal clear and the bass shakes the entire house even on very low settings.

    Optical and coaxial outputs.

Its hard to find these speakers these days though, Amazon.com dont stock them anymore. Even on ebay I haven't seen them, I guess no one wants to sell them. :)

    Thank you. :)

Have you thouught about unscrewing the shelf the monitors are on and then have them on the desk? Obviously youd lose abit of desk space but would prob be a better viewing angel....

Im guessing your probably looking at the Logitech Z-5500's? They are practically the same speakers as the Z-680...although i think the z-5500 model may have a larger sub

Very good speakers though if you do go for them :smashin:

    Thanks!

I got the TV stand for £130 at currys.

I've seen these speakers go for £80 on amazon. They don't stock them now though.

Funny you should mention that. *Read down*

I've had them for nearly 7 years now and every time I watch a movie I'm always impressed by the sound.

After looking at the pics of my pc desk, I decided it was time for a new one. Well, instead of spending a few hundred $$ on a new desk, I just did some custom work to my current desk...

3 hours later and I managed this. My speakers are set up correctly now and the sound is alot more balanced plus the monitors are at a better viewing angle. I also doubled my desk space too. Now I just need to hide the cables again.

    Take a look. :)

    Comparison.

I'm going to buy a black work mat to put over the desk to give it a better look.

Just saved myself a few hundred $$.

I went ahead and hid all the cables the best I could. I couldn't 100% eliminate them from being seen. The speaker and monitor cables are invisible though. The cable from the keyboard really ruins all the work that goes into hiding the cables. Wish I could get that same keyboard but wireless. I was thinking of drilling a hole in the desk to fit the cable through but thought that was going a bit too far. :)

I also built a stand for the tower with the extra wood I had left from breaking the desk. The holes you see in the desk will be covered with a black work surface.

(Just after I finished taking the pictures the mail man arrived with my black mouse mat that fits the entire desk. Maybe I'll take pics of it later.)

Nice job in hiding all those nasty cables! And you can never go too far in hiding the little gits! I've got all kinds of holes drilled in my furniture!

Love the split screen on the monitors! Can you watch DVDs that way too?

Thanks. Sticky tape is your friend.

I can watch movies on both monitor but the picture has to be stretched and the bottom & top is cut off, looks cool though.

Hey dude how did you manage to hide all your cables? I've got so many cables behind my tv it looks so messy? Any advice would be much appreciated. Robbie

Thanks for the comment. I mainly tucked the cables underneath the TV stand and used about 50 cable ties and alot of stcky tape. Its almost impossible to completely remove the cables from being seen from every angle but just hide them from an angle you mostly watch tv.

I drilled a hole through the desk for the keyboard cable to go through. Looks so much better now without a wire going across the desk. Only took 5 minutes to drill the hole too. Easy.

I now have a wireless keyboard, well kinda. :D

and just for the hell of it, heres my PSP with a 30GB HDD.
