Well after months of deliberation I have finally decided to go for the Samsung Sp46l6x. I ordered from Miller Brothers last night, I hope I’m not disappointed. I have been working towards this for sometime now, as I am only 18, I have been saving for a new TV for about a year and half, so it hasn’t been an impulse bye. I’m so excited now; I can’t wait till I get it, finally a proper ‘home cinema’ experience. In preparation I have already upgraded my surround sound system, which now comprises of two Wharfedale Diamond 9.4 floor standing speakers for the front, a diamond 9 cc for the centre channel, 4 diamond 9.0s to make up the middle and back channels and an SW150 subwoofer making it up to a 7.1 system. All the speaker cabling is QED, which cost about £2 a meter. I also bought a Denon 1905 AV receiver to power them all. I also upgraded my DVD player to a Samsung HD850 which at the moment is connected to the TV via a QED scart (The What HiFi sound and vision recommended one) and connected to the amp via coaxial. I also have sky just running through a standard scart lead. My plan is to now by a wireworld HDMI lead for the DVD player and an IXOS scart lead for the sky box, using the old QED scart to connect the sky to the video.
What do people think of this set up, any suggestions?

Edit: As said above I ordered my Sp46l6x, well finally Miller Bros are expecting them to be delivered to them from Samsung on Wednesday, so hopefully I will have it not long after. I’m also about to buy a PC to go along with my new TV, a custom built one from ‘pc specialist’. I have chosen a 256MB ATi Radeon X550 with DVI out. My question is does the TV have a DVI socket to plug straight into, or will I have to buy a DVI to HDMI lead like this one?

You must have a really good job , your system is a million times better than mine cos i don't have one but will be looking at this thread to get a good idea. I have a SP46 i love it apart from the rainbow effect which i am getting used to. Don't expect too much from the PQ from SKY as it sent poorly anyway. Watching DVD's is superb. Wish you the best and enjoy the TV.
