    Basically at the end of this month/start of next month, I'll be building my first PC and I'm wanting some help on building the best spec for the money.

    Few things I know I'll be getting (main thing I've done research into)

    EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB
    Intel i5 3.4GHz 3570k
    Corsair Carbide 400R
    Corsair TX650W

    Then the rest (MoBo,RAM,CPU Cooler,SSD) I'm not sure on at all.

    (Don't need a HDD I've already got a Samsung F3 1TB Drive so I'm good on that front)

    Also some advice/recommendations on a 1080p monitor as well would be appreciated.

    Cheers Guys :D

    P.s My budget for everything is around £900ish

    This is what i'd do

    [IMG]

    The alternative is a smaller ssd and more pricey mobo but theres nothing to be gained from doing that really

    I came acros this website the other day for specing PC builds;

    System Build - PCPartPicker United Kingdom

    It does a price comparison for all your parts to ensure you get the best price, give you a history of how much that machine would have cost over the past three months and ensures all your parts are compatible.

    It also creates a simple link to go back to check your build on a regular basis.

    Chox = PC Building Hero.

    You should run it as a bespoke service, you could become the new Alienware!

    Be aware that motherboard doesn't support dual 8x slots if you're thinking about SLI in future.

    Split it between CCL & Amazon it will work out less than scan.

    Did you accidentally do the Z77X-UD3H on CCL's site? The Z77X-D3H is £104.45.

    Given the price difference between the Vertex 4 and the Sammy 830 series is very small I'd probs pick the Vertex 4. That's not to say that either is a bad drive though.

    I'd also be inclined to swap the PSU for the XFX XXX 750W as it's only a few quid more. Greater efficiency, higher output with the same length of warranty (upon registration, otherwise two years) and it's a Seasonic unit vs a CWT unit.

    Looks like the new Plextor M5P's are going to be the drives to get next if you want ultimate performance. :smashin:

    I was thinking of swapping the psu for the Corsair HX as that is seasonic, also I think I might have chosen the wrong mono on CCL

    I was just thinking out loud thing really. I did say ultimate performance but if you're happy with what you've got then that's fine. ;)

    I need some help guys on deciding a CPU cooler, I want something that keeps the CPU cool but also isn't that loud (I know hard thing too find) I was having a look at the H80 but they are pretty pricey, what do you guys suggest for a CPU cooler.

    if youre going for air arctic i30 or noctua, dependant on budget. But there are a lot of decent looking heatsinks out there.

    Under the closed water systems, if you didnt want to spend as much as a h100 i'd go h40 or h60 and whack a second fan on it for a push/pull config- replace the original fan with a gentle typhoon. H80 is a bit overpriced and will be louder than buying better fans on a cheaper system imo. Or the antec kuhler and do the same thing, theyre basically the same cooler.

    I was having a look at the thermaltake frio, seems to have the best of both worlds.

    EDIT: Don't you have the i30 chox if you do what are the temps and noise like, obv different for different setups but still.
