Damn these are very hard to photogrpah..they hardly ever stop flying..This one was almost constantly flying around picking other insects off the flowers and in flight and taking them back to the nest i presume. After following this one around for a while it finally stoped for about 4 seconds..out of 4 shots this was the best.

Shot with the tamron 90mm on my 30D, ISO500, f8, 1/400, AI Servo

Dam it Allie, there you go again putting us all to shame!
And you've done it without stacking, great capture mate!

cracker indeed - well done

I've tried a wee search but don't really fully understand, what is it when you "stack" the image anyway?

Thanks.

The way I understand it from Allie’s past post, because you are using such a narrow depth of field, you take several shot’s at different positions of the subject, and then ‘Stack’ them in PP to get a view of the whole thing.
Rather simplistic explanation I know, but Allie will probably come back and explain it much better!
