hi im new :hiya: help me spend soem cash, ok av amp time, I currently have a denon dvd 1600 nad 350 amp and b&w 601 s2 speakers. i was looking @ a denon arv 2803 for £500 from my local hi fi shop, i have heard of some very cheap prices for them but ive not seen any. I my nad amp is going to be redundant or should i use it to power m front speakers. i will probably get a center speaker this month and new fronts (putting the current speakers as my rears) and a sub later on. any thoughts on the set up. I have a Panasonic 28" tv atm which will be changed 1 day.

cheers

Welcome to the forums :D

The 2803 has just been superceeded by the 2805 and for a shade over the £500 you where looking to pay I would suggest going for one of those:devil:

Just for reference a better price for the 2803

I woud hook everything up and listen in stereo (after a few days of use on the denon) and see if you like the sound or if you want to keep the nad sound. If you are happy with it in stereo sell the nad, if not use the nad to power the front speakers from the pre-outs on the 2805.:smashin: There are plenty of threads on here about using a stereo amp for music on a H/C setup.
Do a search :lesson:

Good luck with your delving into Home Cinema. I hope you find many hours of fun from it and it doesnt Totally comsume all your money :suicide:
