Just a quick review to say how much better the new two disc R1 SE edition of My Fair Lady is over the older Premiere collection.
The source negative is obviously the same but the new transfer has higher definition and more vivid colours. I believe a new high def transfer was done for this new SE edition which really shows up on larger screens (reviewed here on a 100" screen), though less noticeable on smaller screens. Also the older edition suffered from some bad interlacing at times.
Below are some pictures which show the differences in definition, subtle but they really show up on a big screen. One on the left is the Premiere and the right is the SE. You can see the difference in Hepburn's face.
