1200  Good god man where do you store them all??? All on DVD??? Over how many years??? I own all of 12 DVDs (17 if you iinclude the boxsets). I'm not fit to be on the same forum as you - I suppose the next step for you would be to start up your own movie rental chain.

1200? I remember that back in October....... :)

Seriously there's always something out there - from gems you didn't know about to movies in other regions you didn't know were actually out.

Hidden gems? At 1,200 you haven't even covered the visible gems never mind the hidden ones!

There are thousands of worthwhile titles to own. My collection is approaching 3,000 and is far from being anywhere near as comprehensive as I would like it.

There are still a few hundred I have on VHS that I will replace on DVD, not all of them released on shiny disc yet.

All Laser discs have been replaced, have about 20 Videos to replace with one or two titles not having a DVD release yet.

    Same here.
My DVD movie purchasers have dropped to the odd one a month while TV boxsets are still on my list.
High Def discs are close enough now that I do not want to buy movies and then replace them within a year or so.

    Only 1200?

As there are over 29,000 titles available in the UK alone, I say your DVD collection, relatively speaking, amounts to... peanuts

Seriously that's a large collection. You must have "Carol Vorderman - 28 Day Detox Diet" in there somewhere

I believe there is some where in the region of around 2 million films world wide and still counting :) so, I don’t think anyone as got a complete DVD collection and it’s totally impossible to see them all, so keep taking the medication…

As for me I won’t lose any sleep over it…

PS I have around 550 plus and counting small number...

    ...but hay…

    ….It’s only a movie…

    Alfred Hitchcock...

I think I have maybe 330, something like that. It's way too many for me though, I actually have 200 of them still to watch, all the extra features just take AGES to get through. I don't have the time to increase how long I spend watching them, so i've tried to decrease my purchases to £10 a week (down from £30) which was going well until the dvdsoon sales!. I would say I will have every film I want at about the 600 mark.
