I have a few questions of which I hope someone can answer.
1, how do I find out what firmware it has?
2, What firmware is it up to and if I'm out of date how do I update it?
3, If I update it will I retain my multi region capabilities ( not too much of a problem if that goes as I searched and found the hack, which i'll hopefuly be able to do.

I think thats about it, but if i can have that info I'd be much appreciated.

A response from Denon on how to check the firmware version:

"Remove any discs from the unit.

To check the frmware turn off the player, not standby.

Hold on the front panel Play and Open/Close.

When Loading appears you should see the play and pause icons on the front panel. At which point release the buttons.

Then on the remote press Menu, 3, 2, 6, 5, Menu.

You should then see ESS ????-?

The last digit is the important one. If it is less then 8 check with your dealer."

Regards,
Flib.
