And I'm anxiously waiting till he gets home so he can tell me all about it! He's doing a tandem jump this morning near Sailsbury - a Christmas gift from his girlfriend. I hope he's okay ... I know he was absolutely crapping himself about it two weeks ago. :D

Just got through to his girlfriend ... the jump is in 45 minutes!!! I thought it was at 8:30am, but that was just the start of the training. He was bricking it on the drive up, apparently, but now he just wants to get up in the air and out that plane door.

I'll post again later when I know how it went ...

Been there, done that, it is amazing.

This should be on your list of things to do before you stuff it.:hiya:

We did it while on holiday in Oz, only regret was that we jumped from the lowest height and didn’t have a very long freefall. When we both landed we wanted to do it again from higher up, but we didn’t have time as we were on our way to the river for our white water rafting trip. Thats another thing you should try before you die.

I plan to do this later this year for sure. In fact, my Brithday next Sat and my Dad asked me yesterday what I wanted:D :D

My sis did it whilst in NZ. Bungie Jump as well though she said that was a lot scarier. Highly recommended both though, saw the video of here Tandem Jump. Top stuff:smashin:

I think the post is missleading it should say

"my brother is strapping himself to someone who is throwing himself out of an plane, kicking and screaming all the way"

Not so. He absolutely LOVED it, and is planning to jump again. Possibly, out in Florida! He even spent the extra £95 to have it videoed on the way down. Can't wait to see that! He's certainly got more guts than me. Just glad these weren't splattered all over a Wiltshire field ...

Er, yeah. We find that shouting to each other at distances of 85 miles gets quite tough on the vocal chords and just isn't as easy as using mobiles ... :D

I wonder whether it's best to have a cloudless day so you get great views or perhaps a few clouds so you can experience falling through them:rolleyes:
