Just received my 885 from CCL. Opened it up and... it rattles. As if something is loose and/or broken inside of it.

I haven't actually charged it yet (struggling to get the blimming battery cover off to be honest), but does anyone else's make such a noise? If not, it's going back.

No rattle from mine, even though I dropped it on a tile floor.

If you read the manual or the online FAQ you will relaise that the rattle is the tilt sensor that stops the LCD being on 24/7 (it lights up when you pick the remote up and look at the screen ie tilt it)

Well in my defence, the manual says bugger all about that, but you're right about the online faq. Although you only get to that once logged into the website, not as you're unpacking a shiny new toy that sounds broken.

Good to know it's nothing to worry about though :)
