    Hi folks,

I'm looking into the best way to setup an MXE-1 which should be arriving soon

Sources I need to connect are,

    HCPC,
    Freeview box (through TiVo)
    DVD player,
    VCR.

As the unit seems to come as standard with a DVI and a VGA input, it would seem wise to connect the HCPC directly to the DVI input, and then route everything else through something like a standard Lumagen scaler directly to the VGA port. This way everything (exept the PC) is benefitting from the superior scaling the lumagen (or whatever you use) would offer.

Does this sound feasible, or would it be better to use one of the available add-on cards? If an external scaler would improve performance it would not seem necessary to add one, or am I missing something

    Cheers Rob.
