Remote Central recommends the URC-200 over the 300. It says they both have the same features, except for the 300 having a touch screen, however the 300 is able to do more of these features, e.g. more devices, more macros, etc. Maybe better to go for the 200 and save £20+. Still, the MX-500 does have the forward and backward skip buttons, which I would say were pretty necessary.
 
I'm a little worried about all the set up issues people are reporting.

Universal Remote or Harmony?
 
The Harmony is easier to program. I have a MX500 (amongst others) and I'm vert happy with it - you have to program it the "old-school" way i.e. by hand although there is a PC interface available as a third-party accessory. For ease-of-setup, I think the Harmony would get the nod. YMMV.
