Working Saturday, ceased Sunday without explanation. Camcorder plays back OK however but will not record. Symptoms are once powered up in record mode and lens cap removed both view finder or LCD screen shows multiple vertical blue/green/turquoise stripes with a single fine horizontal black line running centrally across the screen, records sound OK. With lens cap on view finder / LCD screen is black as you would expect. All menu selection screens seem Ok. Has the CCD died?? is it fixable economically or should I cut my losses and scrap, if repairable can anyone recomend competent repairers. This is less than two years old and has probably recorded about 20 hours of material. Not good value for money, well hacked off.

I think you need to read This Thread. Be warned though it is not good news, but Canon are starting to agree to repair these camcorders.

    Good luck,
    Mark.
