What are the Dvd's I really should have in my collection?
The Usual Suspects
Saving Private Ryan.....
the list goes on and on. It all comes down to what type of film you enjoy or do you mean from the point of view of showing your kit off to it's best?
Fast & The Furious
My Little Pony
Baby's Day Out
Dungeons & Dragons
Three To Tango, and if you can't find this rare and collectable disc, starring the legendary Mathew Perry, if you search the classified threads, with a determined heart, you might be lucky enough to find someone with one for trade. (me)
My little Pony???? Are you pulling my leg by any chance?
I love that film. I'd have it off you myself, but I already have it. So funny
With regards to the original question, the only 'must haves' in your collection should be your most favourite films. And "The Haunting" DTS (on its way to me as we speak ).
Yes I'm pulling your leg.
I'm sure some people might love the films I've typed. I don't!
Really it's up to you.
Thats a really hard question, what suits one does not suit an other.
There are some disc that will give you surround system a good work out. Of these I have heard Titan EA is a good one.
I would think Gladiator, LA Confidential, X-Men 1.5 would be nice to have in youre collection.
Also if you like Independence Day and Godzilla I would think they would give you system a good work out too.
Buy your disc to suit yourself not other people, that way you will watch them again and again.
That should read - What DVD's do i like and should own.
And do not be afraid to experiment with the style of film. A good AV setup has the same effect as a good music only setup has on different styles of music. You suddenly find that films take on a whole new aspect that you missed on a poxy 20 inch TV.
Dont joke ive only got a 24" widescreen at the moment! Carting around a 36" doesnt really appeal while im still a student! Certainly got plenty of interesting views from asking this question.
Nothing wrong with a 24"
Of course, every Pan & Scan release is a must NOT own ...
You forgot Josie and the pussycats
hmmm who's trying to sell that off?
"Josie & the Pussycats, will do your housework for 2 months if you take this DVD off my hands!!!"
Back To The Future box set is a must!!
Can't believe nobody mentioned the Matrix
I bet Lord of the Rings is good as well on DVD. I cannot comment on it as Im waiting for the box set.
Thre Fifth Element
Big thumbs up there.
What about Ice Age
Black Hawk Down
