    So,

I know musicals aren't exactly big, but concerts are - anyone know of any good ones coming up on blu ray that reeally show off a good soundstage?

would love to see al madonna's live tours on dvd -usually quite spectacular, and definitely looking forward to Moulin Rouge if it get's released - sounded amazing on DTS as it is !

And don't forget Les Mis with a proper soundtrack - the Phantom blu ray and HD DvD was quite disappointing.

I tend to buy concert DVD's as I find I return to them more often. The lack of concert Blue Rays is really annoying especially given the potential of uncompressed audio.

I recently bought Nelly Futado concert in toronto on DVD really just to see what this sounds like (and she does have good tracks) i thought the DTS mix was very good and punchy, however not as good as phil collins in paris which is awesome IMO.

However I too wanted to know what blu-ray concert/music sounded like so I just ordered Justin Timberlake and Tony Bennit on blu ray. There are'nt many about but check here as these are all i could find.

Tony Bennit arrived yesterday and although short dont sound too bad but i'll reserve judjement untill the timberlake disc arrive as this should be alot better.

Thanks for this - got the timberlake one on pre-order at lovefilm - definintely not buying it but curious to see how it sounds - saw it when it was on channel 4 so know what to expect.

Would love to see more, and I guess it will happen eventually, but as always with a new format, it takes a while - they won't release anything unless there is an exceptionally good chance it will sell well.

Dave Gilmour's Remember That Night. Stunning, stunning soundtrack (PCM Stereo or Dolby True HD) and in places a very good picture. Highly recommended, if you can find it cheaply!

I didn't think it was going to come out on dvd as it was only proving the format for 3d screens.

Just finished watched the celine dion new day concert on blu ray, and altho i am not a big fan of hers, wow, it looks incredible, the quality and sound is fantastic and really is a good showcase for how good a concert can look and sound - am hoping for the last two madonna concerts to be released on blu ray as they were stunning live and very visual, but who knows!
