    Hi there,

I am looking to replace my current surround system due to moving in with my girlfriend and having no room. The room means that it is going to be a sub-sat system and this is where the problem starts.

My current speakers are a pair of 603 S2's as fronts, pair 601 S2's as rears, and a CC6 S2 as the centre. When I have auditioned different packs, they can sound very good with film, but suck with music. This included a set of 2005.2's which I was hoping for big things from but ended up thoroughly disappointed. The only set up that i liked was a M&K set up reduced from £3200 to £2000, but after much deliberating that is still far to rich for my blood.

So my question is what would you recommend my try? It must cost under £1000, be wall mountable, and preferably one of the smaller sub sat types

    cheers
    andy

If you can find a set of Castle Compacts they would certainly be worth putting on your short list as they are a sub sat system from a company who's forte is music. I think they are listed at £1,000 for the five sats plus the sub.

I am looking to replace my Kef Eggs Mk1 and have the Castle CC3 £1K on the shortlist, at the price they are probably your best bet. Over budget but the M&K K5 £1.7K and Proac Hexa's are also under consideration.
