Hi, Does anyone know where to get a "MUSICAL FIDELITY X-CAN V2" (on the internet)? I heard lots of good thing about it. I've got a HD 600. I'm in UK by the way.

    Thank you

Thank you very much, but I only found one shop selling it for 140 pounds, do you think it is good value for the money?

I've not heard the MF, but there are two other amps in your budget that you could consider - the Headsave Classic , built in Canada, about £100 (inc shipping and a PSU), a lively and detailed amp which is truly excellent value for money, and the White Noise Audio headphone amp, built in Scotland, about £200 assembled and tested; this is a very sophisticated and high quality amp. Both are meant to have great synergy with the HD600, and possibly outstrip the MF for sound quality (certainly, I have read posts by other owners that claim this).

You get lots of X-cans on ebay for about 100quid possibly less.
I use one at work which has had the philips valves swapped out for some mullards ( much smoother sound).
Its a decent amp but I wouldn't pay 140 quid for one.
It does complement the HD600s quite well.

Best to keep looking for a bit....good buys do come up,and as Mr D points out, also worth chaning the tubes for some NOS Mullards.

Amperex tubes are also a cracking upgrade for x-cans v2.
