On WinXP I can download an hour long streamed radio programme in mp3 format using mp3mymp3.com and store it in My Music in My Documents.
I dont want the verbals, the station announcements and intros, BUT I do want to extract the music, title it play it in WMP and retain it.

Is there a program available that would help me to do this please?
Bear in mind I'm old and not technically minded.

Yes, but you'll need to manually cut out the stuff that you don't want. Goldwave can help you do that, but its gonna take a long time with 1hr of music.
