music set up dilemma

this has got my head spinning, and its since getting Google Home haha

set up;
Synology NAS with my iTunes music account on there
plays from there to a squeezebox boom (kitchen) or squeezebox duet (lounge)

All working fine until I introduced Google Home to the household and wanting her to control the music

I understand I can move my music to Google Play and use it through that but I don't really understand google play very much

I also know I can add a chromecast audio to the boom and duet and it will play

basically, I want to play music from my NAS, also add music to my NAS as and when I want to. I want to play the music through the boom and duet and be able to control it using google home

any help/thoughts appreciated
