Apologies if im in the wrong thread, wasnt quite sure where to place this one.
I've ordered some new HDD's which will be arriving later today, im trying to find out before i start transfering if theres any way of compressing or changing file format of the files without losing quality in the audio?.

Any recommendations??. :)

if your talking about putting your own cd music collection on to hard drives , flac is the format you want . its called lossless music compression , it keeps all of the original information that is on the disk but simply re-arranges it and so on to compress it , a music album will maybe go from 700mb down to 400mb. but the quality will be identical to the original cd, hence the name lossless.
