Before I send back my R1 copy of MR has anybody experienced the following glitch.

Towards the end of Chapter 12 (where mumsy and dadsy find thier son's tie hanging from a statue) to the begining of chapter 14 (with the pygmies) both my players just hang and refuse to play.

I have a US Pioneer 606 and a UK sony CX-850D. This is the only disk which both players refuse to play. This is the first disk the CX-850 refuses, though the 606 *hates* stargate SG-1 for some reason.

    Anybody else had this?

Had similar problems with Mummy Returns.

Picture goes blocky on my Tosh9000 around the chapter with the Pygmies, won't play this chapter at all on the TEAC DVD-Rom drive.

DVD Box Office replaced the disc. Haven't played replacement yet.

    Regards

Didn't have any problems with the disk myself, plays ok on both my Proline 1000 and Panasonic RA71.
Could that be a problem with the layer change or maybe the disk was damaged when removing from the case (I don't like the clamping method used).

I haven't had any problems on both my Pioneer DVL-919 and DVL-9 players, although after I got the reg.1 copy I then got the Reg.4 DTS copy and what a difference!!! This has to be the best picture on a DVD I have seen yet! The transfer was steady at around 8 to 10. well worth getting a copy.

Well, i lent the disc to a friend over the weekend - he has a tosh 210

It freezes on him too, so I guess I've got a duff disc. there are no visible scratches on the disk though.

    ah well.

Just rang Play. Ooo Sorry sir its older than 28 days you can't return it.

what! I think not little puppy dog. It is you who is in trouble.

I got it on October and just got round to watching it. Too many other discs took precedence.

Anyway they have agreed to accept the return once I got put through to a supervisor.

So its back into my cinema room tonight and checking all the disks I haven't watched yet. I'm going to have to skip to every chapter and look at every menu.

I've only just watched LA Confidential which I bought in March!
