    Hi.

    I have just bought a house which has a multiswitch, the problem I have after cocking up the order of cables I can't find the correct entry in the switch as its not marked well on the inputs..

    I have a friends meter so I know which cable from the dish is H/H H/L V/H & V/L so signal is there and good.

    The problem I have is that the multiswitch is foreign I think and has not the same markings and has no name on it. It was working well untill I changed the cracked Quattro. OOOPPS

    It has 14V Lo , 14V , 18V Lo ,18v
    This is exactly as it is marked up.

    The problem I have is that I have channels :
    BBC1 OK
    BBC2 OK
    ITV ( no signal on all ITv's)
    Ch4 OK
    Ch5 OK
    Sky News ( No signal)

    On $ky sub:
    Gold( no signal)
    Dave ( no signal)
    Comedy central ( No signal)
    possibly more channels off but Im sure if the cables were in the correct order on the switch it would be OK, I have tried moving them around but keep loosing others. But have had ITV at one stage then lost it when I placed anether cable into switch.

    The problem was I didn't mark the cables on the Quattro LNB and when I put in in the wrong order I cant sort it at the switch as markings arn't the same.

    What are the 14v and 18v and what is the lo, it doesn't state .

    How do I depict H/H and others into 14v or 18v

    Help much apprieciated.

    Regards
    WilkybobsLOW but lo

    HI again HOG.

    just another quick question if I may, going off the frequency charts, how can you make out which channels if you loose them are high and low band, On the charts on say Lingsat you only see TP number or Horizontal or Vertical for listed channels.
    so if say its ITV that lost I can see TP44 and 49 which have one on V and one has H, checking on the meter how would I know if its Low or high band cable to check on the quattro.

    The only other entries are the 22000-5/6???

    KU band universal lnb received frequencies

    Low Band 10.70-11.70GHz (Intermediate frequency (IF) 950-1950MHz)
    High Band 11.70-12.75Ghz (IF 1100-2150Mhz)

    From Kingofsat

    Astra 2E 10729.0Khz (10.729Mhz) V (Vertical Polarisation) 42 (Transponder Nos) DVB-S (Broadcast Standard) QPSK (Modulation) 22000 (Symbol Rate) 5/6 (Forward Error Correction)

    Therefore above is Low Band Vertical transponder

    14v lo = v low = black
    18v lo = h low = green
    14v = v hi = red
    18v = h hi = yellow

    I've added the cable colour convention, too.
