Multiroom Audio

Standard Member
Hi there,

I currently work at an 8 screen cinema. In each screen we have a "specialist" mp3 player that allows us to put music on in between the films. We also have an old PC connected to the foyer system, running iTunes, that we play music from. Each mp3 player is independant from the next and the PC is independant from it all.

What we are looking at doing is having the PC linked up to each screen (in place of the mp3 players) that controls all the music.

My Question: Is there a piece of software that will allow us to control audio outputs across 9 different "rooms", using the PC as a hub.

I am aware of the various hardware options, sonos etc, but we are trying to do this on the cheap as a side project (the current system works fine, we just want a central point to allow easier control and changing of music).

I hope I've made myself clear :) any questions please ask.
