    Hi

A work colleague has a Panasonic DMR E20 dvd recorder, which he wants to get modded for multiregion discs.

Can any of you guys recommend a source for the above service or can it be done DIY or is there a remote control hack?

    Cheers
    VC

as above, except I bought my player multiregion from them. They were excellent. I have however heard talk of renting a remote for a d.i.y update (which is a bit cheeper and saves you sending off your machine), can't remember details though sorry :-(. I'm sure someone who can will reply however.

this site charges £50 to upgrade
    see here

    http://www.av-land.co.uk/dvd/multi-region-dvd-upgrades.htm

also found interesting link about 3 paragraphs down on this site
but looks a little risky too me?
    http://side.nexen.net/html/

i too have seen somebody advertising a postal kit, which is basically a loan of a all for 1 remote,a cd with software to update the e30 to multiregion, this then has to be returned to the supplier, who i thinks was charging between £50-60.
cant find out for the moment what ive done with the link.
    hope this helps

    regards
