I've a Denon DVD player and have it connected to my plasma screen (Pioneer PDP-435XDE) via the HDMI socket. If I introduced another HDMI device (e.g. SKY HDTV box when it launches), how will I connect that when I'm already using the one and only HDMI socket on my plasma screen? I presume that there will be/are HDMI switching boxes or have I missed something here?

    Thanks. :lease:

I'd probably worry about it nearer the time when Sky HDTV becomes a reality. It's likely to be a year away or more and that's assuming that they'll adopt HDMI.

Although I believe that there aren't any HDMI capable scalers as yet, it's only a matter of time and I'm sure that as and when and if they are available, one of these would give you what you're looking for. Having said that, current scalers have plenty of high quality connectivity at the moment to do what you're looking at, just not HDMI yet.
