    Hey Everyone

Well this is my first post on the forums so thanks in advance :) So far only even been a reader, now i am hoping for some expert knowledge!

The scenario is that an older couple I know got SkyQ installed about a 2 year ago with a new LG TV. Given their age the speakers on the TV wasnt loud enough so we connected an LG soundbar via ARC to the TV and this worked grand until now. Sadly their hearing as diminished again and now the bar just is not loud enough, i dont believe they can afford another £300 sound bar so I was thinking of adding an additional speaker to the Sky Q box as a 2nd sound source along side the HDMI to TV (then ARC from TV).

What concerns me is this, if i was to connect a speaker to the sky q box say via Optical.. will the sound on the HDMI disable? Ideally i would like to have sound continue from the HDMI and also the Optical

    Any ideas?
