I recently bought a multi system ps3 from Dubai. I had never heard of this and was a little worried but it worked fine for both PAL and NTSC games. I'm still a little dubious though so does anybody know of any problems that may occur.

I never heard of a "Multi System PS3" before but all PS3's will play both Pal and NTSC games anyway.

NTSC systems were cheaper than PAL systems by about £50. I got sold a "multisystem" PS3 for the price of an NTSC system plus £10. Cheeky b****rd has ripped me off a tenner! Lol! That'll teach me not to do my research first!!

What are the advantages of having a Pal system if any?

There is no such thing as a multisystem PS3 like there is for PS2 as all PS3's are region free by default for PS3 games.

Advantages of a PAL PS2 are being able to play PAL PS2 and PS1 games as well as PAL DVD's. Also being able to play all instead of many UK blu-ray movies. If it's a UK/Euro PAL PS3 then a good chance that Sony UK wil repair it or replace it for free under the warranty.
