I moved into a house about a year ago and I have a sudden thought. The previous owners have put TV aerial sockets in every room. Is there any way I can use this to wire up speakers in other rooms from my main amp?

You can but it will be mono sound also there will be no tv signal.
There is two way i can think of both would not be the optimum sound.
You can run a speaker staight of the coax cable to the amp. But the sound will have a lack of quality becase of the coax cable. Also you can only run one speaker.
You can put a phono plug on each end of the coax cable, plug into pre out of the amp and run to another amp but the sound will be mono.
There is no good way of running sound through the problem that you have got.
The coax cable with the solid copper center with music power off the amp will come through very bright.
I would use what you have got for, tv or radio.
