Is the tag dvd32flr a multi region player and can it handle all disk formats eg dvd-rw.Sory if this is a simple question but my time is short due to extensions at home .
Another thought - where is Tag built and does anyone know if I could make a saving by buying in Bankok?
    Cheers

The player is made in the UK at the Huntingdon factory. It can simply be made multi-region by a code using the remote, and my DVD32r version has never rejected or had problems with any regions or DVD-R or DVD-RW.
The only potential savings you'll find will probably be down to tax or exchange rate differences. Worth checking out, but I wouldn't have thought it would be massive, particularly with the potential of import duty on returning home! Ouch!
One things for sure: you'll be well pleased with it!

Your Tag dealer should be able to tell you - since the DVD forum take a dim view on multiregion players, Tag don't like it being made public. It has been mentioned at least once in the DVD Players forum on this site though...

What's wrong with Multi-Region dvd players? Why the dim view? (Not a dig at you, cskates).
I maybe wrong but i would have thought that it would be better to be able th play dvd's from differant regions, rather than just Region 2.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

The DVD consortium who licence the DVD format specify that the DVD players must be region coded for the proper region, doesn't stop most manufacturers making the switch fairly easy though. There's always the chance a small manufacturer could get their licence pulled,

Miron's answer's right though (734 are the letters "reg" on the keypad).
