I'm trying to use Ulead MSP video capture to transfer VHS tapes using a DAC 100 converter. MSP gives "unknown device" error. It works great with Video Studio 8 and Pinnacle Studio 9.0. Has anyone used a DAC 100 with MSP? What am I missing?

My guess as to the cause of the "unknown device" error (as I've not used either the software or hardware) is that the software is trying to control the DAC 100 as it thinks it is a DV camcorder. You need to go into the project settings in MSP and disable device control. The software should then ignore the device and just record the incoming video.

    Mark.
