Selling this Microsoft Surface Pro 128GB as it was bought on a whim and realistically, I shouldn't have! I have only owned it for a matter of weeks but in all honesty, I should never have bought it.

    Some key points to note:

It is a U.S. model (bought via eBay UK)
It is in quite a 'used' condition - Pics will confirm this
specs are in the attached photo
It came with a type cover (again, U.S. layout) and I will include this in the sale.

I can have it shipped within a day or so "as is" but if you want it resetting to an out of box state, I'll need amother day. It will also come with a brand new wall charger that I bought in anticipation of receiving a U.S. Type adapter.

Please know that I will not skimp on delivery for this as I need to have relevant insurance, that said I will be using RM Special Delivery. Currently the item is not advertised elsewhere but if people lowball based on the condition, it will be opened up to other sites.

Collection is welcome for a £15 discount.

    Price and currency: £165
    Delivery: Delivery cost is included
    Payment method: BT or PPG
    Location: Staines
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

Are there any marks or issues with the screen?

Are there any issues with it apart from Superficial marks? I've assume they do not impact on it actually working?

Also hold long does the battery generally last?

The screen is pretty much perfect as best I can tell. Any mark is indeed superficial though and does not affect the working of the unit.

Re battery, honest answer is that I don't know. I've never ran it all the way down. I can do that tonight though if you like.

Re battery: yes if you don't mind.

Also regarding US Keyboard - can you change the windows settings to state it's a UK keyboard? Obviously you can't change the keys itself so they would then have different symbols but just wondered

Sure. Will give it a go. Obviously varies on usage.

However yes, you can set it so that it thinks it is using a UK keyboard. That's how it is currently set. It's the @ and " that are the only swapped keys I think.

been using it for 75 minutes or so and its gone from 97% to 69% with a decent amount of web browsing. Will carry on and let you know the final figure.

Quite interested in this too. Could you run Intel Burn Test and post a screen grad of the results down to, say, 10% battery? Battery life is the big question IMO. The wear to the rear casing seems pretty typical for a machine of this age, especially considering the all metal construction.

    Also, is the pen missing?

I can get that done this morning. Bear with me if I don't quite do it right, I've never used that software before.

Also, is it wrong to say I didn't even know it came with a pen?? That's said, you can imagine that yes, the pen is missing. Rookie mistake by me there.

OK. Not a big deal - they're pretty cheap on eBay (~£20).

The burn test runs the system at 100%. It should show worst case scenario battery life, i.e. real life usage should be a bit better. I'm after that figure as it'll give me an idea as to how battery life matches up to other options I'm considering.

I told it to do 100 cycles but it looks like that won't be enough to drain it to 10%. It's done 40 cycles so far and it's currently on 67% from 99%.

Let me know if you need it draining down to 10% or if you are On my way! It's me starting another set of tests straight after.

Logs attached, this started on a 100 cycle test on 98% battery drained to 10%. It completed those 100 cycles when there was around 18% left I think and I missed it to restart the test.

    Let me know your thoughts.

I hold my hands up, I need to redo it. Admittedly I'm struggling to find anything more than 90 minutes or so to simulate normal use. Will try and get it done this weekend. The results above (I think) indicate the usage if the CPU was flat out for the duration of use which would never be the actual case.

Will try and get some 'real life figures' tomorrow for you.

If I read the other test correct does that mean about 1.5 hours from 98% battery to 10%? Ie approx 1 hour 20 mins from 98% to 18% then approx 10 mins from 18% to 10%?

Obviously this is flat out use so real world test should be a lot more

Yep that's pretty much how it went. I think real world figures will be closer to 3-4 hours but will confirm tomorrow.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not prepared to go that low. I'm not in a mega rush to sell so am happy to do any testing that a buyer needs.

Cheers for running that test. About half the time of a friend's SP3, so should be decent battery life (3 hours? Maybe 4) under normal use. I just wanted to make sure the battery wasn't knackered.

Will get back to you probably this evening if I want it.

No problem. Yeah, for normal use I reckon it'll be around the three hour mark but will confirm.

Arrived just now. Quite happy with it - condition isn't too bad really for a two year old portable device. Quite a few small surface scratches on the back, but nothing major. Cracking bit of kit for the money TBH. I'll just have to see whether or not the battery life is an inconvenience coming from an Asus T100.
