    What does it look like?

The Maple looks good but my wife says she would prefer the 'silver' one. So .....

Is the silver (vanadium), dark or light, same as used on 308 ?
What colour is the grill (lighter or darker than cabinet) ?
What is the grill made off (cloth, metal or plastic) ?
Any pictures of the silver ones ?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Think like a vinyl version of the Yamaha titanium- about as close as I can think of off the top of my head.

By Yamaha Titanium, are you referring to the front panels of their amplifiers which to me are silver but with a slight bronze hue. If so this would suggest that it is not the same colour as used for the 308 (http://www.mordaunt-short.co.uk/news/gallery/308_72dpi.jpg) which looks to be a more plain silver to me.

What about the speaker grill. What colour is it and what is it made of ?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

More of a standand dark silver- slightly darker than the 308 with no hue. Grill is black stretched fabric on a frame.

The Marantz unit is a 308 and for fun is a different silver to the MS vanadium. Horny mate I've no problems with you telling people about other silver subs- I'll just fill in the bits I know :).

Almost had my wife convinced, liked the pictures and then asked whether it came with a grill - oh no the black didn't go down to well.

What about the maple - does that have a black grill aswell ?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

It does- the silver premiere fabric is not produced in a wide enough strip to fit the front.

Thanks for the update - shame on the grill colour - not given up yet though just means a little more effort to persuade.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Be aware that the silver grille material on the BK is not as robust as the black though....apparently the heavy duty black stuff is not avaliable in silver!

Dont forget you can remove the grill and the main driver is alluminium. Just has the black rubber ring arround it.

Anyway its nothing that cant be sorted out with a can of spray paint:D
