Having a bit of a problem converting divx using video 9. They convert fine and i put them into MP_ROOT and 100MNV01and when you try to play it it says "incompatable data" i'm running version 1.50 on a Jap PSP.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

If you had been quick, you could have updated firmware to 1.52...

but now you must have 2 instead. Go on Sony Jap

Edit: did you choose right files from DVD? or enough?

i've got a software disk with 1.52 on, Would that fix it?

I Think Video9 must be knacked because the MP4s won't play in media player.

Its just video 9 would have been updated for each firmware upgrade that Sony releases? Unless you're still using very 1st video 9, then I'm stuck

Have you tried e-mailing video 9? - hinting you've contributed by paypal ;)

May be a stupid suggestion but are you ensuring the txt file is going over as well as the video file?

    Incorrect.
Video9 does not get updated to match PSP firmware - why should it if the PSP codec hasn't changed? (obviously not including the AVC codec included in v2.0).

I'm using Video9 v1.53 to transcode and have no problems playing on Jap v1.50.

To original poster, have you tried transcoding a different video file to see if it works or not?
Also try using a different profile.
Plus enable the debug console in the Setup to see if any errors are reported there.

    txt file?!

    There's only two files involved...
    mp4 = video file
thm = thumbnail image of video (optional)
