I'm likely to be relocating to the US at the start of next year. I want to take my Naim system with me but I don't want to look at changing the transformers in the devices at this time (as I'll be coming back after a couple of years). Does anyone have any recommendations as to step-up transformers for use with audio equipment? I do have an Isotek power conditioner which will be placed between the step-up transformer and the equipment, but I'd still like to get a higher quality transformer than those routinely offered on a certain auction site.

You will need a step down transformer 230V to 120V. Not a step up.

Apologies, I got the nomenclature wrong. I am trying to power 220V equipment from a 110V supply, so I assumed that was step-up. My bad.

Actually my bad.

No need to apologise.

A step up would give 230V out for 120V in.

I misread the OP.

Thanks! That is very interesting, I had no idea that the US service panels actually have 240V in. That's very useful information.
