    Hi,

I'm making the move to the UK from the States. I have a Denon 3803 running
120 V / 60hz. I bought a voltage converter for 220 V, but I was told that it still may not working since its frequency is at 60hz instead of the standard 50Hz?

I also have a Denon DVD-1600 that is running the same - 120 V / 60Hz. (I'll only use it for my own DVDs but would need a multisystem TV (NTSC/PAL)

With both running at 60Hz freq, are they useless even with a voltage converter?

    Thanks in advance.

If you have powerful enough stepdown transformers for them all, they'll work without problems :smashin:

Nope, I run many 60hz appliances that were designed for use only in the US over here without problems.

    Hi

Why not just sell yours in the States and then buy a new one over here, saving yourself the hassle of using stepdown transformers. May as well put the money you'd spend on the transformers towards a new Amp and DVD player.

I have used some old 240v 60hz gear in the past (not hifi) and it really buzzed quite loudly.
I second Jase's idea and sell your gear in the states and buy new over here.
