I've had my 606 for three years now with Celestion F30/C35 (120W floorstanders, 70W centre) and am considering moving up in sound quallity.
Is there an AV receiver people woule recommend which wouldl let me keep the exisiting speakers?
Thanks. :)

If you like your current sound then you could look at higher up Onkyo models (like 808 etc.). Other ones to look at would be the Yamaha 1067 and Denon 2311. These are all last years models and currently selling at good prices. Your speakers are reasonable but do not really warrant an AV reciever much higher in level than these if you want to make the most from the reciever. What is your budget?

£500-1,000.
I'm looking for better sound/improved definition and I can look at changing speakers later - that is a very good point. Part of the reason for loooking at the receiver just now is a guy at work is after an amp and it would be a chance to move the 606 on.
Maybe a Pioneer model?
