Moving House SkyHD to Sky+

Hi,

I am moving house in June. My year of Sky HD will be up in May.

The house I am moving to has basic Sky Digital installed.

I am thinking that I may just go for Sky+ in the new house.

Will my Sky HD box let me watch Sky+ and whats the best (cheapest) way to get Sky+ installed in the "new" house?

If the Sky HD box is no good for Sky+ I already have a Sky+ box.

Thanks for all ideas.

Cheers

It will still cost you £10 a month for sky + whether you have hd or not so you might as well have hd too for the same price

Your hd box is fine for sky + too.

This is incorrect. The Sky HD sub is on top of whatever other subs are being paid for.

Therefore to get HD with Sky+ on the basic package it would cost £10 extra for Sky+ and £10 for HD.

The only way to avoid the Sky+ charge is to subscribe to a premium package - Movies or Sport.

If you don't want the HD channels you can just pay the Sky+ Sub.

Sorry but your wrong, the SkyHD fee also covers the Sky+ fee.

It clearly says this on the SkyHD site.

Sky World subscribers will receive all of the Sky HD channels

-To get Sky Sports HD, you will need to Sky Sports in your package. To get Sky Movies 9 & 10 HD you will need Sky Movies in your package.

-Sky+ functionality is FREE with Sky HD.

Thanks for all replys.

I think I understand..........If I go for a package with the movie channels I will get Sky+ functions........If I pay £10 extra ontop of that I will get the HD picture with Sky+ functions.

How much you recon Sky will charge to install new LNB, cables onto existing Sky dish?

Would it be easier (cheaper) asking for fresh install using existing dish?

Cheers :smashin:
