Been with Talk Talk for a few years with no real problems. Customer service pretty bad as is well publicised, but it's cheap and works for me. Now we're moving home shortly, and TT say it will be a month before they can send an engineer to the new property, and I can't keep the same number. BT can connect quicker but charge about £15 a month more. If I cancel TT's contract they'll charge me £70! My fault for agreeing to stay with them quite recently, but they said moving home was no problem. Is this the norm? I can possibly wait those few weeks but think it's a bit unreasonable.
