I'm going to get a new 13" MBP as my "portable" . I already have a 15" first gen intel MBP thats about 3 years old and showing all the signs of a hard life.

I'll keep the 15" for sofa web browsing but I'd like to move some of the apps over onto the new 13" ( FCP and CS4) wahst the best way to do this?

    cheers

I used an ethernet lead to connect my daughters new one to her old one and used the "Migrate" function which popped up when I turned the new one on.
It copied the lot over to the new machine, including keychains in about 90 mins.

Firewire would be faster I guess.

    Good Luck
    Col.
