How good are they at shipping ??
In my experience very good and having no customs charges is a great bonus
I agree - no probs with shipping at all. Only caveat is sometimes they are a little too pricey, but othertimes they are extremely cheap.
Example - Angel Season 5 and Alias Season 3 they were the cheapest I found, but for CSI Season 2 or 3, they were about £10 or so more expensive.
You could try Loaded 24/7 as well for comparrison as they are good shippers and no customs charges either.
movietyme were the company i used to get most of my region1's off. in one instance they sent me 4 copies of rain man but charged for only one. being an honest type i told them what had happened, i need'nt have bothered the emails
were so terse from them that you would have thought i'd stolen the f g discs.
this week i ordered oceans12 on monday as of 5.30 this evening it had not moved from order taken this after getting an mailshot from them on tuesday saying it was in stock. so use them if you wish but don't expect them to keep in touch .
Axelmusic.com are also very good
ordered a dvd and a cd from them last weekend still showing order taken, f there anywhere you can check if items are in stock or not, have not used them much in the past i did find in handy when you were able to ask craig about orders as he replys were very prompt, think i will stick to dvd-soon for most of my orders in the future mind you there responce to e-mails can also be a bit trying at times
I have had a couple of items from them recently. It was the first time I had used them and everything was sent through fine. Like all things you cant please all of the people all of the time but so far every thing has been fine
I have a disc on order that shipped 3 weeks ago but i haven't received it, probably stolen in transit.
I have filled in the Lost Claim in Post on their website and still haven't heard from them.
Do they ever get back?
Hot and Cold for me,recived an email weeks ago that xmen 3 (orderd 20 sept)had been posted but still haven't recived it.Email yesterday about polar express HD and charlie choclate factory HD being posted recived this morning.
Wish there site told you when disks where sent also.
Yeah mine was shipped 26th of September.
Still not received it and claimed on their site yesterday for sending replacement, haven't heard anything back.
Yep me too, 3 weeks ago, shipped but nothing arrived.
I now cannot get to their website and the lifestyle forum has been shut down. Its a little worrying.
Used them for the 1st time mid Sept - to pre-order a boxset that was due for release on Oct 3rd ~ Shipped on the 26th Sept, received on 4th Oct.
One thing i would question was they don't tell u if it has to come from the USA 1st. It was posted 1st class, yet took over a week to get to its destination ~ weird
Would use again if the price was right
Used them for 2 years with no problems.
Today i received my missing title, almost 3 weeks!
Glad yours has.
Bought Medium season 2 from their Ebay site at 3-30pm delivered next morning. Can't get much better than that
What is the difference in shipping options with Movietyme?
I see there is the standard shipping method that is included, but there is a shipping method which includes tracking of the package...
Who is the courier you use for that? UPS FEdex DHL?
I just wanted to take a moment to "big up" MovieTyme
In the past I had them down as being a bit too expensive and I rarely used them, but their prices have dropped considerably, especially TV sets.
And as for delivery/release dates - awesome. This morning I received Cars which isn't even released in the U.S. until 7th Nov, and a load of recent orders have also arrived a week or two before the release dates.
Long may it continue
Now, if only they'd list the complete West Wing collection
Was amazed when mine turned up this morning also, thought it would be at least 15 nov.Well done movietyme.
Bit of a downer now I'm afraid
King Kong Gift Set has been processing since Friday 10th and the Extended Edition since 11th - no sign of either shipping yet
Anyone else's (sp?) Kong shipped ?
This is only speculation on my part but maybe they are waiting for stock to be shipped over to their UK office and then they will post your order?
Orders from Movityme can stay at the processing stage for a good few days sometimes.
WHat this usually means is that once it says it has shipped to you, it has then been posted from inside the uk and will be with you within a couple of days.
I have only ever had (so far) one problem with Movityme when my judge dred disc went missing in the post. It all got sorted out in the end though and did not put me off from using them again and again
Superman Returns now "Order Processing" on my account. Not out till 28th Nov though
Alot of the time Movietyme have films weeks before release as do other retailers so not that unusual.
Thanks for your comments, folks.
It's just unusual for MT to be "behind" in shipping - you can get used to things arriving a fortnight before release date
Anyhoo, the Gift Set shipped today , so that's put a bit of a smile on my chops
Had a major issue for the 1st time in over a year with a title going missing in the post and an incorrect date on the lost mail form that came in as well but got an e-mail today stating that a form with the correct shipping date will be sent out and a replacement item is there ready to be sent by Special Delivery as soon as they get the form back
Glad they came through as I've always had good service from them.
Is it just me or are Movietyme getting worse at sending films out, ordered 5 blue ray film nearly seven days ago and there still showing and qued for process.
Have used them for a few years, without any major problems.......BUT..
Recently send them two mails (one regarding my order for a Panasonic Blu-Ray), and have not received any replies as of yet.
Items do tend to stay "processing", so long, you think the orders have been forgotten about !
Have you tried emailing them? as I always get a response within 24 hours.
