Hi

Is it normal for movietyme orders to take 11/12 days from dispatch to arrive. Do they ship all orders from USA?

thanks

Most of my previous orders from them took around 7 days to arrive when they were sent from the US but my last order was sent on the 22nd September and still hasent arrived :(

I think it's only things over £18 which come from UK addresses. I've made two orders with them -- one over £18 which came in a couple of days from inside the UK, and one under £18 which I've been waiting to arrive for a while now.

my order was for £24.99 and was dispatched on the 23/09/05. Was a bit worried as I though I had read on this site that most people got their movietyme orders the day after shipping.

shipping from the usa would explain the delay. I hope

It's my first order with them and didn't know what to expect, you get used to things arriving quickly, then when something takes a while you think  .

didn't mean to sound unreasonable. ;)

Never had problems with movietyme. Its always Royal Mail that lets them down. Everytime theres a problem, its due to bloody royal mail in my experience. Contact Craig if theres a problem he's around here somewhere. Hes very helpful and always give quick replies, top bloke.

i contaced Craig over somthing else and never got a response via PM or e-mail.
Just to advise that i have no email from you - my inbox is upto date...

As for deliveries, apart from certain titles most of our shipping takes place from either our Philly or LA offices and can take 3-15 days to arrive.

MDX - please take this up directly with Movietyme. This forum is not the place. Thanks.

(You could re-send it; no-one should ever rely on email being correctly delivered; all sorts of things may have happened to prevent delivery).

Just thought I would mention that my order finally arrived today a whole 16 days after it was posted
Also it looks like it came via Germany and not the UK like past orders have.

It could well be the postal service (or lack of) - I had something from Movietyme sent on a Friday and arrived on Tuesday, but then I've had so many complaints in with the PO I'm sure they look out for anything with my name and get it to me immediately.

Well about 10 min after i posted that i get a knock at the door and 2 of the 3 sets arrive :)

I hate the Mutant X packaging (not Movietyme fault, who ever designed the cases and said lets use Flipper discs needs to be shot!, 2 eps per side :() but there here none the less :)

Sent on the 28th of Sep, still very good time from the USA (yep these were shiped direct from the US to my door, just had a $20 Value ;))

Thanks again Movietyme (just need that Season 3 of Mutant X now ;))

I ordered 2 discs on the 27th sept and one came in about 3 days from the UK, and the other from the US via Germany came today 7th oct. As long as they arrive I don't mind a little wait. Got another shipped today (Dances With Wolves 4 Disc R3 in leather case). Well see how long it takes to turn up. Good service on all orders so far.

Ok,

I have had varius DVDs from movietyme. Some have got to me quicker than others. It depends on where and when they are shipped and the good old british institution of royal mail

I had a disc from movie tyme that went missing in the post. After the 15 working days, got a replacment from Craig, no problem. Great service and very helpfull :smashin:
I have always been impatient when it comes to having discs delivered, In fact I have had a couple just dispatched from Movityme on the 4th and they have not arrived yet, but like I said above, because there are many factors involved in the DVD delivery , I just have to relax and wait. I use movityme now because I have had such good service from them and will continue to do so in the future.
Dave.

I just checked again and it looks like mine went via Germany as well :), 6 Working days from the USA, to Germany and then to England is just fine with me.

Movietyme will keep my custom for a while, cheap prices for alot of things and a very good customer service person in Craig :)

The service from Movietyme so far has being nothing less than Excellent.

I wouldnt have a problem if mine took 6 working days but it took double that (16 days/12 working days) and that is the longest I have ever had to wait for something be it coming from Japan, Australian, US or Europe and considering it came via the same route (USA->GERMANY->UK) why the extra delay? as I cant believe Royal Mail delayed it by a whole week, surely they are not that bad?

Yes the RM IS that bad - they had a package of mine from CD Japan which cleared customs over a month before they delivered it.

TBH Royal Mail are that bad... we see it everyday. Plus they are putting their prices up all the time and the service does not get any better as a result.

We can now send a standard DVD anywhere in the world for almost the same price as sending it within the UK and tbh we have noticed that titles shipping via Germany have 90% more of a chance of NOT getting lost.

RM is truly shocking...

As for the delay Indiana well dispatch is from our LA offices (doing tests over next few weeks from our Philly office) and it arrives in Germany within 48hrs. From there German post gets it into UK within another 24-48hrs from then on that is where the different delivery times take place - i just wish i could track all these packages to see why some are delivered sooner rather than later with some.

Thankfully we ship thousands a week and very very few encounter major delays.

Oh and all A title blockbuster pre books will still have the more expensive express delivery.

Don't start me on Royal Mail. I'm still waiting on a phone that was posted on the 27th September. I mean, I could walk the distance faster than they deliver. It's just across the pond to Ireland.
