I was messing about on IMDB then thought how interesting this would be, no doubt it has been done before, but hey ho lets see if it has interest in here
rules when making a new chain :
1. no more than 6 movies from start to finish
2. if chain is over 4 movies then a hint(see my example) must be given
3. movies must be for big screen and fairly well known, same goes for the actor/actress link
4. you must make a chain from movie to actor/actress then to movie then actor/actress etc.

5. winner makes up next game:D

ok, I'll start you off
"BEN HUR" to "THE GREAT ESCAPE" via "OVERBOARD"(also a clue)
here is the starting point http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052618/
get to "THE GREAT ESCAPE"(but make sure you go through "OVERBOARD")

example of ALIEN to MISS POTTER:D
ALIEN
TOM SKERRITT
TOPGUN
TOM CRUISE
JERRY MAGUIRE
RENEE ZELLWEGER
MISS POTTER

Ben Hur
Charlton Heston
Planet of the Apes
Roddy McDowall
The Longest Day
Sean Connery
A Bridge Too Far
Richard Attenborough
The Great Escape

4 moves, not using the one you suggested :D

alternatively...

Ben Hur
Charlton Heston
Planet of the Apes
Roddy McDowall
The Posidon Adventure

I guess I win unless you're forcing us to go through overboard? Seems a pretty easy one...can anyone do it in less than 4?

Ohhh!!! (just looked up overboard)....

Ben Hur
Charlton Heston
Planet of the Apes
Roddy McDowall
Overboard
Kurt Russell
Escape from New York
Donald Pleasence
The Great Escape

I WIN!!!! (will come up with another one later)
